I am a Professor in Wireless Communications at Aalborg University, the Department of Electronic Systems. I am heading the Section on Connectivity, which covers the broad area of wireless communications and networks. I am a Fellow of the IEEE, a holder of a Consolidator Grant (2015-2020) from the European Research Council (ERC) and a recipient of the Danish Elite Researcher Award (2016).
My general research interest is in the area of connectivity and communication theory. Examples of more specific research activities include wireless system design (5G and beyond), ultra-reliable wireless communication, Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, integration of communication with data analytics and communication aspects of distributed ledgers.
My book “Wireless Connectivity: An Intuitive and Fundamental Guide” is published by Wiley in 2020. The intention was to make it an easy reading, with cartoon introducing each chapter, minimal math and pointers to other literature for those who want to dig deeper. The target group is much broader than communication engineers; basically, anyone that wants to understand how wireless connectivity works. Here is a sample chapter “A Mathematical View on a Communication Channel” provided by Wiley.
